The verify-before-you-trust habit

Never trust an AI output unchecked. Before using AI-generated content with pupils, check it against a reliable source such as the CDC e-library, a textbook, an official document, a reputable website, or your own subject knowledge.

AI tools can help teachers save time. They can draft explanations, create examples, simplify language, prepare quiz questions, and suggest activities. However, an AI answer is not automatically true just because it is written clearly. A confident answer can still contain mistakes, bias, outdated information, or invented details.

The safest habit is to treat every AI output as a draft. A draft can be useful, but it needs review before it becomes teaching material. This is especially important when the output includes facts, dates, rules, definitions, local examples, health or safety advice, assessment feedback, or information about people and communities.

Quick teacher check

Check facts: Are the key points correct?
Check source: Can I verify this from a trusted source?
Check context: Does this fit my students, curriculum, language, and local reality?
Check fairness: Does it avoid stereotypes, bias, or exclusion?

Classroom example

Suppose a chatbot creates a Grade 8 science explanation about earthquakes. The explanation may sound good, but the teacher should still check whether the science is correct, whether the safety advice is appropriate, and whether the language suits the students. The teacher may use some parts, revise some parts, and remove anything unclear or risky.

Unsafe use

Copying AI output directly.
Trusting facts without checking.
Using AI for sensitive decisions.

शिक्षकका लागि छिटो जाँच

तथ्य जाँच: मुख्य बुँदाहरू सही छन्?
स्रोत जाँच: विश्वसनीय स्रोतबाट प्रमाणित गर्न सकिन्छ?
सन्दर्भ जाँच: यो विद्यार्थी, पाठ्यक्रम, भाषा र स्थानीय वास्तविकतासँग मिल्छ?
न्याय जाँच: यसले stereotype, पक्षपात वा बहिष्करणबाट जोगिएको छ?

मानौं, च्याटबोटले कक्षा ८ का लागि भूकम्पसम्बन्धी विज्ञान व्याख्या बनायो। व्याख्या राम्रो सुनिन सक्छ, तर शिक्षकले विज्ञान सही छ कि छैन, सुरक्षा सल्लाह उपयुक्त छ कि छैन, र भाषा विद्यार्थीको स्तरअनुसार छ कि छैन जाँच गर्नुपर्छ। शिक्षकले केही भाग प्रयोग गर्न, केही भाग संशोधन गर्न र अस्पष्ट वा जोखिमपूर्ण भाग हटाउन सक्छन्।

एआईलाई पहिलो मस्यौदाका लागि प्रयोग गर्ने।
