Pedagogy and Stage 1 vocabulary

Use this H5P Dialog Cards activity as a quick reference deck. It consolidates the language teachers need for planning, reflection and Stage 1 review.

Cards to author
  • Teaching need — the learning reason for a task.
  • Tool validation — checking accuracy, privacy, accessibility, appropriateness and language fit before use.
  • Accuracy — whether the output is correct and reliable enough.
  • Accessibility adjustment — a planned support so no learner is left out.
  • Appropriateness — age-safe, respectful and bias-aware content.
  • Design–try–reflect — plan, teach once, review and improve.
  • Reflective practice — honest review focused on learning.
  • Shared-device — designing for one device or rotating groups.
  • Plan B — what the teacher does if the tool fails.
  • Teacher productivity — using AI to save preparation time safely.
  • Carbon footprint / sustainability — the environmental cost of technology.
  • Transparency — being open about when and how AI is used.
  • Anchor rule — AI suggests; a person decides.
  • Personal-data red line — no pupil personal data in public AI tools.
