Real or fake? Verify before you share

This activity practises the responsible response to fake or uncertain media: pause, verify, and avoid spreading harm.

Suggested items
  1. A shocking video of a public figure may be AI-made. → Possible deepfake; pause and verify before sharing.
  2. True / False: “Disinformation is spread deliberately to mislead; misinformation may be shared by mistake.” → True
  3. The safest first step with a surprising image or claim is → check the source and verify before sharing.
  4. A voice clip claims a school leader made a harmful statement, but no reliable source confirms it. → Do not share; verify from reliable sources.
  5. A classmate shares a fake-looking image in a group chat. → Ask for source, avoid forwarding, and use it as a verification lesson.
Closing feedback: A convincing image is not proof. Verify before you trust and before you share.
